GNN 2006.08 Session Report

From GTF

At JeffL's house. 7:00 - 11:30

Attending: BobN, Kieron, Leroy, JeffL

Game Played: Railroad Tycoon

This game was more fun than Kieron thought it would be. It was simple to play, yet deep enough to keep him engaged. It also seemed to move along quite nicely.

Kieron started developing in the Northeast, with some competition from JeffL. Bob was in the South, and Leroy in the mid-west. Jeff and Kieron eventually made it though the Alleghenies, and by the end of the game Kieron was one tile away from linking Kansas City to New York (for 20 victory points). Thwarted only by JeffL's quick play, and superior experience.

Bob dominated from the beginning to the end, snapping up the VP cards right and left at the beginning, to build massive infrastructure, and then used it to pound us into coal-dust.

Jeff was second, Leroy third, and Kieron a distant last with no fewer than 16 shares (but might have been second if not for the play mentioned above - NEUMAN!).

Jeff took some pictures of the end board...please upload them and link them here.
