Growing the Group
GTF 2001 was our second annual gaming weekend. It ran from Thursday, 22 Feb 2001, to Sunday, 25 Feb 2001, and was again held at Cumberland Falls State Park in southern Kentucky. Opening Ceremony traditions were begun.
The second year saw attendance nearly double (from the 6 founders to a total of 11 attendees). Many of the games from the previous year were played with quite a few new additions.

At GTF 2001, Car Wars and Robo Rally were well received. Elfenland and Wiz-War continued to be very popular. In 2001, we added a DVD player to the A/V capabilities (at GTF 2000, we were limited to a VCR and CD player) and 3 computers networked together for head-to-head computer gaming (Unreal Tournament and Homeworld).
